METSY at the 40th ISCC and 13th GC×GC Symposium
The METSY project will be represented at ISCC and GC×GC Symposium (http://188.8.131.52/slider.html) with a presentation on May 30 entitled Characterization of Metabolome in Development of Metabolic Comorbidis of Psychosis By GC×GC-TOF MS. In this work, we show GCXGC-TofMS data from first episode psychosis patients and matching control subjects with two follow up samples. GCXGCToFMS allows comprehensive characterization of primary metabolites such as aminoacids, sugar derivatives as well as small organic acids and free fatty acids. We show that specific classes of metabolites, metabolite groups and clinical parameters can be associated with occurrence of psychosis and its treatment.
